About

I am a software developer specialising in .net driven server systems for property management. I also REALLY enjoy cooking and throwing dinner parties for my friends (Thursday Club). I decided to share my recipes via a blog and rather than write my own platform I decided to use WordPress (the dark side) much to the delight of my daughter.

The recipes on my site have been collected over many years and tweaked, messed about with, and generally honed. Why Dad’s Cooking Club? Why not? I was a member of some separated fathers groups and there seems to be a feeling that men can’t cook and if they do it’s not “first date” food they know how to make or healthy food for when they see their kids. Hopefully, this site will give Dad’s inspiration to cook!

Anyway – cooking should be fun and doesn’t really need any special skills. Remember:

  1. A good meal can be made with simple ingredients.
  2. If you can read you can cook.
  3. Every gadget isn’t necessary – just nice to have!
  4. The first pancake is for the dog.

The aim of my site is to help you cook good food without the pretentious language some cooks use and to let you know some simple shortcuts.

Dive in and ENJOY COOKING.

PS: This site isn’t supposed to be an income generator but you will find links to various sites such as Amazon – if you buy something I recommend I will get a commission (just so you know).
